About Us

Furology Pet Spa is a full service grooming salon located in downtown Dixon, IL. We have been serving the greater surrounding area since 2024. Our team of professional groomers range in experience from 10-26 years in the field and specialize in providing personalized grooming services for your furry family members. Our grooming services include luxurious baths, haircut styles tailored to the pet's personal needs, nail trimming, deshedding treatments, specialty shampoo treatments for dry and itchy skin and more! We also offer a small collection of dog treats and pet themed gifts and supplies to keep your pet well groomed at home! At Furology Pet Spa, we are committed to giving your dog or cat the love and care they deserve, leaving them looking and feeling their best.

Our Services include:

Bath Package: A face scrub, a shampoo and conditioning treatment tailored to your pet's specific skin and coat needs, a blow out, a brush out, nails clipped, ears cleaned, paw pad and sanitary shave if needed, breath freshener, and a spritz of doggy cologne so they leave smelling fresh!
Bath and Tidy Up: Everything included in our bath service PLUS light trimming of the face, feet and tail or trimming up any long featherings that hang off the belly, chest or hind end on fuller coated breeds. Great for in between full grooms or for colder weather when you prefer to keep the body length a bit longer.
Full Groom: The works! This all inclusive service includes a face scrub, a shampoo and conditioning treatment tailored to your pet's specific skin and coat needs, a blow out, a brush out, nails clipped, ears cleaned, paw pad and sanitary shave, breath freshener, an all over haircut of your choice, and a spritz of doggy cologne so they leave smelling amazing! Not sure what kind of haircut you want? Don't worry! We have examples we can show you to give you an idea.
Optional Upgrades:
Nail Grinding: A normal nail trim shortens the nails but does not make them less sharp. In addition to trimming the nails short, we will then file them down to get them shorter than traditional trimming allows, and rounded smooth so they are less sharp. A great option for dogs that live with children or elderly or houses with hardwood floors.
Deshedding Package: This package uses a specialized shampoo and conditioner created to loosen up shedding undercoat. We massage this into the coat and let it sit for a moment to saturate the fur. This also includes a longer blow out session and longer brushing session to ensure we get out as much shedding hair in the salon as possible so there's less of it to come out in your home! No service can prevent shedding entirely but this will help greatly reduce the amount of shedding in the home.
Priority Pet Service: For dogs that are unable for any reason to sit in a kennel. This service means your pet is done straight through meaning less time spent in the salon and away from home! For this service we do require pet parents to be available for pick up as soon as the pet is finished.
Nagayu CO2 Hydrotherapy Treatment: Think of this as a medicated bath bomb! A deep cleansing bath tablet added to the water stream, that has been shown to help various skin conditions such as hot spots, skin dermatitis, eczema, dandruff, itchiness and improve all around skin health.
Cat Grooming: We offer cat grooming on Saturdays only as that is the quietest day in the salon. Our kitty groomer is by herself with just the pet she is working on to create a calming environment. Our cat grooming options include:
Bath Service: A professional grade bath with shampoo and conditioner, a blow out, a brush out, nails trimmed, ears cleaned, and a sanitary shave if needed. If there is a small section of matting, that can be shaved out for an additional cost. Anything beyond that would be considered a full groom.
Full Groom: An all over haircut, nails trimmed, ears cleaned, a bath with shampoo and conditioner tailored to cat's personal needs and a brush out to help remove shedding hair. The haircut can be a whole body shave down, or a "lion cut".
For kitties that cannot handle a water bath, we do offer a waterless shampoo and leave in conditioner. This requires no water or blow dry.
Dog Nail Trim Package: $25 Nails trimmed, then filed down to get as short and smooth as possible, ears cleaned, paw pads and sani shave if necessary, breath freshener and a spritz of doggy cologne so they smell fresh without the bath!
Cat Nail Trim: $15
Creative Grooming: We offer coloring services on dogs ranging from temporary wash off color to semi permanent dye applications. We also offer accent gems, feathers and tinsel that can be applied directly to the coat to give some fun style to your dog. Products are all non toxic and formulated specifically for use on pets.
